How to improve website performance?

I'm looking for suggestions to optimize my website loading time. I've tried minifying CSS and JavaScript, but I'm still not getting the performance I want. What techniques have worked for you?

My website is built with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. I'm considering implementing lazy loading for images, but I'm not sure if that will make a significant difference. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've had good results with implementing a CDN for static assets. This can significantly reduce load times for users in different geographic locations.

Also, consider optimizing your images. Tools like ImageOptim or Squoosh can reduce file sizes without noticeable quality loss.

In addition to what Alice mentioned, you should also look into:

  • Code splitting to load only the necessary JavaScript
  • Using browser caching effectively
  • Minimizing render-blocking resources

Google's PageSpeed Insights is a great tool to identify specific performance issues.
